The Ledyard Colonels will square off against the St. Bernard Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ledyard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Alexia Lemmon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Alana Ninteau and Mia Starling did most of the damage at the plate: Ninteau went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Starling went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Starling has posted since back in June of 2025. Another player making a difference was Aleecia Helme, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Ledyard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Killingly only posted a batting average of .148.
Meanwhile, St. Bernard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Waterford, falling 18-0.
Ledyard is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Bernard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Ledyard's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Colonels have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for St. Bernard, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Ledyard continue to outrun the ball?
Ledyard got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against St. Bernard by a conclusive 18-1 score. Will the Colonels repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
