Baseball Recap: Trenton Beats Davison for Their Fifth Straight Win

Trenton came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Davison Cardinals as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Joel Mator looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Henrik Parish was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Trenton pushed their record up to 26-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Davison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10-1.

Looking ahead, Trenton will be playing at home against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Davison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
