Brookfield Central has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will challenge the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Brookfield Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
Brookfield Central pushed their score all the way to 71, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indian Trail. Even though they lost, Brookfield Central's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 54 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Brookfield Central's defeat came about despite a quality game from Dylan Romero, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Witon, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Appleton North scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Wauwatosa East still came out on top. Wauwatosa East narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Appleton North 59-56. The victory was just business as usual for Wauwatosa East, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Franklin's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Brookfield Central's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.
Brookfield Central came up short against Wauwatosa East in their previous meeting back in February, falling 61-55. Can Brookfield Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
