DURHAM, N.C. -- USA Baseball and MaxPreps announced on Monday, the MaxPreps USA Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week Award winners for the week of April 4, 2016, bringing national recognition to the top-performing high school athletes in the country.

Representing eight national regions, -- Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest and West -- players are selected based upon stats that are submitted to MaxPreps.com by coaches and team administrators. For players to be nominated each week, their coach must enter the athlete's game stats into MaxPreps by Sunday evening. High school coaches may obtain an access code to enter stats for their teams at maxpreps.com/cl.

The winners for MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week Award are as follows:

Great Lakes
Pitcher of the Week: Ethan Smock threw a no-hitter for Logan County High School (Russellville, Ky.) to be named the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Great Lakes Pitcher of the Week. Smock, a sophomore, struck out 13 batters and walked just one in the victory.

Player of the Week: Brenden Bube went 12-for-15 with 11 RBIs for Lanesville High School (Lanesville, Ind.) to be named the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Great Lakes Player of the Week. Bube, a junior, scored nine runs on the week.

Mid-Atlantic
Pitcher of the Week: Joseph Lowder pitched a no-hitter for Ashe County High School (West Jefferson, N.C.) to be named the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Mid-Atlantic Pitcher of the Week. Lowder struck out 16 batters and only surrendered three walks in the victory.

Player of the Week: Hunter Stewart hit .833 and slugged 2.166 for Blue Ridge High School (Cashiers, N.C.) to be named the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Mid-Atlantic Player of the Week. Stewart went 5-for-6 with six runs scored, seven RBIs, and was walked six times for an on-base percentage of .917.

Midwest
Pitcher of the Week: Brady Bibbs struck out 10 batters in five innings for Senath-Hornersville Schools (Senath, Mo.) to earn the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Midwest Pitcher of the Week honors. Bibbs gave up just one hit in the victory.

Player of the Week: Keone Givens hit .909 for Jones High School (Jones, Okla.) to earn the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Midwest Player of the Week honors. Givens went 10-for-11 with nine RBIs and two home runs for a slugging percentage of 1.636.

Northeast
Pitcher of the Week: Mike DelGais struck out 15 batters for East Rockaway High School (East Rockaway, N.Y.) to be named the Northeast USA Baseball/MaxPreps Pitcher of the Week. DelGais gave up one unearned run and allowed just one hit.

Player of the Week: Aaron Fenimore went 7-for-8 with nine runs scored for Cumberland Christian School (Vineland, N.J.) to earn USA Baseball/MaxPreps Northeast Player of the Week honors. Fenimore collected eight RBIs and two walks for an on-base percentage of .900.

Northwest
Pitcher of the Week: Eli Sievert threw a no-hitter for Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School (Denver, Colo.) to be named the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Northwest Pitcher of the Week. Sievert struck out 19 batters and gave up just two walks.

Player of the Week: Cole McKissock went 8-for-10 at the plate with 10 runs scored for Air Academy High School (Colorado Springs, Colo.) to earn USA Baseball/MaxPreps Northwest Player of the Week honors. McKissock tallied 13 RBIs and hit 3 home runs..

Southeast
Pitcher of the Week: Denver McQuary struck out 10 batters for Houston High School (Houston, Miss.) to be named the USA Baseball/MaxPreps Southeast Pitcher of the Week. McQuary gave up no runs and only two hits in the victory.

Player of the Week: Hayden Lock went 10-for-11 at the plate for Coahulla Creek High School (Dalton, Ga.) to earn USA Baseball/MaxPreps Southeast Player of the Week honors. Lock, a junior, scored eight runs and tallied eight RBIs.

Southwest
Pitcher of the Week: Chet Jones struck out 11 batters, gave up no-hits, and walked just two batters in five innings for Kirbyville High School (Kirbyville, Texas). Jones' outstanding performance earned him USA Baseball/MaxPreps Southwest Pitcher of the Week honors.

Player of the Week: Prescott Horn hit .875 and walked four times for Apache Junction High School (Apache Junction, Ariz.) to earn USA Baseball/MaxPreps Southwest Player of the Week honors. Horn, a junior, went 7-for-8 with six RBIs.

West
Pitcher of the Week: Izak Davenport struck out nine batters for Lassen High School (Susanville, Calif.) to be named the USA Baseball/MaxPreps West Pitcher of the Week. Davenport gave up just two hits in six innings.

Player of the Week: Ray Guerrero went 10-for-12 with nine runs scored for Burney High School (Burney, Calif.) to earn the USA Baseball/MaxPreps West Player of the Week award. Guerrero tallied 10 RBIs and hit one home run for a slugging percentage of 1.416.
