Cole Hoffman put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Del Norte is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise.

Hoffman's strong effort led Del Norte over Sage Creek and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Nighthawks will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 191 places lower in California), but they're not letting that get them down.
