Baseball Recap: Haslett Beats Dewitt for Their Third Straight Win

Haslett barely beat DeWitt the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 15-4 victory on Saturday. Considering the Vikings have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Austin Prinz was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Henry Block, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Haslett, bringing their record up to 15-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for DeWitt, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Coming up, Haslett will venture away from home to challenge Williamston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. DeWitt has already played their next game (against Coldwater), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
