If the Edison Wildcats were riding high off their 71-45 takedown of the Southern Indians on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Edison lost to Bridgeport on the road by a decisive 63-49 margin on Friday. Edison lost against Bridgeport in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-49 score last time.
Jaleel Vincent continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bridgeport, scoring 28 points along with seven steals. The matchup was Vincent's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaki Threet, who scored eight points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Edison's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bridgeport, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Edison will head out on the road to face off against Brooke at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bridgeport, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hundred at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
