Macey East was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI.
In other batting news, Cleburne County got a massive performance out of Lola Shelton, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Daylea Brewster was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Cherokee County never let their opponents score on Monday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Sardis. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past Emma Hill, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Sardis off the board.
At the plate, Brooklynn Bruce was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Eberhart, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Cleburne County's record is now 11-15. As for Cherokee County, their record now sits at 13-10.
Cleburne County might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Cherokee County when the teams last played back in March. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
