After a string of five wins, the Crisp County Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 71-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fitzgerald. Crisp County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fitzgerald apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Crisp County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zakariyya Dwight, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Dwight's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Williams, who scored 14 points.
Crisp County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Fitzgerald, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.
