If Alburnett was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of East Buchanan on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell just short of the Starmont Stars by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Alburnett's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Starmont, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alburnett will venture away from home to challenge Jesup at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The J-Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.42 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Starmont, they will head out on the road to square off against North Fayette Valley on Saturday.
