Sadly, Bryce Hanover posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Geneva over New Braunfels Christian Academy on Thursday. Hanover threw for 334 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Hanover and Geneva will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hill Country Christian School of Austin at 7:00 p.m. Hanover will face off against Ty Vacek, Hill Country Christian School of Austin's star receiver. Hill Country Christian School of Austin was led to victory by Jacob Rasberry, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making a tackle.

Alvarado Posts Huge Game in 62-0 Win
Gibby Alvarado was instrumental in extending Holy Cross's winning streak to seven on Thursday. John Paul II had no answer to Alvarado as he threw for 157 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 35 yards. Alvarado is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for John Paul II, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Alvarado. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Alvarado saw the Centurions), he threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
