Brett Polakowski posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Polakowski's strong effort led Novi Christian Academy over Southfield Christian and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
