The Franklin Indians fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They managed a 16-12 victory over Woodlawn on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Franklin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Franklin to victory were Elijah Mathis and Devin Rollins. Mathis picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Rollins rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Woodlawn, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will face off against Poly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodlawn, they will head out on the road to face off against Perry Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry Hall will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
