Colter Armstrong and Josiah Carr provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Lincoln. The longest such play in Central Rivers (8 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 77 yards.
Northwest took down Hardin-Central 54-26 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Chilhowee's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Armstrong threw for 223 and two touchdowns and Carr had 159 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Smith chipped in 139 yards. Joseph Boyle helped Chilhowee's passing attack out by catching three balls for 36 yards.
Tyler Straight made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Indians topped the Cardinals. The junior recorded two fumbles and grabbed one sack.
Chilhowee's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Armstrong has thrown for 508 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Carr has six catches for 187 yards. Armstrong also leads the league in rushing with 301 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Chilhowee and Norborne. Gary Ligon's team comes into the matchup ranked 15th in the state, while the Pirates ranks 14th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Indians take on Norborne. Chilhowee has allowed 204 points this season, while Probasco's team has given up 180. The Indians allowed 28 points last week as they bested Lincoln.
The Mustangs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 489 from 576. The improvement came about via a 54-26 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
