It was a good run, but the Lake View Wild Gators unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to Lumberton 61-57. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lake View came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 47th in South Carolina, while Lumberton is ranked 314th in North Carolina).
Defeat or not, Lake View got some senior leadership from Gwendasia Page who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 23 rebounds, and ten steals and Jaleya Ford who almost dropped a triple-double on 28 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals.
