Yale has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Marine City Mariners at 7:00 p.m. Yale will be strutting in after a win while Marine City will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Yale earned a 64-51 victory over Sandusky. 64 seems to be a good number for Yale as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Marine City came up short against Clintondale on Friday and fell 50-40. Marine City has struggled against Clintondale recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Marine City's loss came about despite a quality game from Liam Adams, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. Adams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Cole Forest was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Their wins bumped Yale to 2-0 and Sandusky to 1-3.
Everything went Yale's way against Marine City in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Yale made off with a 51-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Yale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
