Wilder is 2-7 against Victory Charter since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Vipers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Wilder turned things around against North Star on Thursday. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 3-1.
The win didn't come easy: North Star scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Wilder's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Natalie Escutia, who had 25 digs, 16 kills, four blocks, and four aces. Escutia is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Luna, who had 26 digs and four aces.
Meanwhile, Victory Charter beat Centennial Baptist 3-1 on Thursday. The Vipers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Victory Charter had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-13.
Victory Charter's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Wilder, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Everything went Wilder's way against Victory Charter when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Wilder made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vipers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
