After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Albany Academy for Boys, the Utica Academy of Science Atoms were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 79-69 victory over Graphics. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Akol Machteng continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Doneilious King j.r, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Utica Academy of Science's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Graphics, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
Utica Academy of Science will head out on the road to take on Mekeel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mekeel Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Graphics does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
