Uvalde had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 28-22 victory over the Carrizo Springs Wildcats on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls), who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Uvalde will take on Winn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carrizo Springs, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Hondo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
