Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Enumclaw

Enumclaw waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Federal Way Eagles 21-5. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Chloe Martel was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three doubles. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braelynn Schliep, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Enumclaw always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Enumclaw's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Federal Way, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Enumclaw will take on Beamer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Federal Way, they have already played their next contest, a 20-4 win against Auburn on the 28th.
