The Lake Center Christian Tiger will head out to square off against the Open Door Christian Patriots at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Lake Center Christian and Mogadore had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tiger lost 3-0 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. The Tiger have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.
Kamden Maninga put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 17 digs and one assist.
Meanwhile, Open Door Christian entered their tilt with Max S. Hayes on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Open Door Christian took every set by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-3, 25-6.
Lake Center Christian better focus on containing Ellie Pruitt and Briella Bendik as the pair were huge in Open Door Christian's win. Pruitt had nine assists and seven aces, while Bendik had 11 assists and four aces. That's the most aces Pruitt has posted since back in October of 2024.
Open Door Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 27 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Lake Center Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Open Door Christian, their record now sits at 17-4.
