The White River Valley Wildcats came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged Twin Valley out 47-44. Despite the win, that was the fewest points White River Valley has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Twin Valley had strong showings from Noah Dornburgh, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Brayden Brown, who scored 19 points along with five assists and two steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Oyer, who scored two points along with five assists and three steals.
White River Valley pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Twin Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
White River Valley will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Wasps at 2:30 p.m. As for Twin Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
