The Sacred Heart Gremlins will head out on the road to face off against the Stover Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sacred Heart had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 30-25 W over Otterville on Friday. That five points margin sets a new team best for Sacred Heart this season.
Stover posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They blew past Green Ridge, posting a 57-24 win at home.
Ashlyn Pinzke was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Stover's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Bauer, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Sacred Heart's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-13. As for Stover, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Sacred Heart took a serious blow against Stover in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, falling 63-33. Can Sacred Heart avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
