Softball Recap: Schurr's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Schurr can now relate to. They fell 7-3 to the Westlake Warriors on Thursday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Schurr saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia De Santiago, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another was Kayla Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Schurr's loss dropped their record down to 21-6-1. As for Westlake, their victory bumped their record up to 16-13.

Schurr does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westlake, they will head out on the road to face off against Chaminade at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
