The Decatur Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Eastern Hills Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Decatur's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They really took it to Carter-Riverside for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-0 victory. Decatur pushed the score to 55-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Carter-Riverside had no chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, it was a classic East v. West duel when Eastern Hills took on Western Hills on Friday. The Highlanders beat the Cougars by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 34-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.
Decatur better keep an eye on Prince Hill. He was instrumental in Eastern Hills' win, rushing for 224 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Hill's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Christopher Johnson also helped out as he racked up 118 rushing yards.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Decatur has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 428 total yards per game. It's a different story for Eastern Hills, though, as they've been averaging only 231.4 total yards. Will Decatur be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Highlanders flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Decatur against Eastern Hills when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
