Millard South proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by nine) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks 2-0. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Patriots have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Charlie Harding tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaxson Appuhn, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

Millard South now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lincoln Southwest, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
