The Lisbon Central Golden Knights lost against the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Lisbon Central might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 83-50 to Tupper Lake, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Lisbon Central has struggled against Tupper Lake recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Tupper Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thomas Peterson, who scored 32 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The match was Peterson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Garrett Pelkey was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds.
Lisbon Central's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for Tupper Lake, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
Lisbon Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colton-Pierrepont at 7:00 p.m. on January 16, 2024. As for Tupper Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Saranac Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Saranac Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday.
