Evansville Reitz put the hurt on Boonville with a sharp 56-36 victory. That 20 points margin sets a new team best for Evansville Reitz this season.
Evansville Reitz found their leader in underclassman Jaylan Mitchell, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke' Pace, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Evansville Reitz's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Boonville, they bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Evansville Reitz's road trip will continue as they head out to face Christian County at 5:45 p.m. on January 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Christian County is ranked 141st in Kentucky, while Evansville Reitz is ranked 129th in Indiana). As for Boonville, they will head out on the road to take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
