Softball Recap: Valley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Valley had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Shawnee Golden Eagles 22-14 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 back in April.

Valley got a massive performance out of Abigail Muncy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Muncy has posted since back in April. Isabella Brown was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .792. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Shawnee, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will welcome Seneca at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee, they will host DuPont Manual at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
