It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Troy Trojans had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-15 victory over Lima Senior. Considering Troy has won eight games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Dakota Manson was on fire: he rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Logan Ullery, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.
The victory (which was Troy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-8 Piqua and 4-7 Stebbins (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 40.8% over those games). As for Lima Senior, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.
Troy will stay at home for another week and welcome Withrow at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Withrow is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Lima Senior does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
