Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deray Mathis, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Mathis is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last 23 games he's played. Another player making a difference was John McGoughey, who posted 17 points and three steals.
Arete Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Miami, their record is now 17-13.
