The Grafton Gators will stay at home for another week and welcome the Millbury Woolies at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Hopefully Grafton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Millbury in Massachusetts (Grafton is ranked 46th, while Millbury is ranked 169th).
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Grafton, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 20-10 to Scituate on Friday.
Grafton's loss came about despite a quality game from Finn Gilmore, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown. Gilmore hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Meanwhile, Millbury can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 44-14 victory over Sutton at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.
Among those leading the charge was Sergio Hernandez, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Phillipo, who picked up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown.
With Grafton's defeat and Scituate's victory, both teams now sport identical 8-3 records.
Grafton might still be hurting after the 37-13 defeat they got from Millbury when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Grafton, Ryan Gleason (who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 89 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
