The Fort Scott Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Chanute Blue Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Scott has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Fort Scott scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Parsons as Fort Scott made off with a 72-50 victory.
Meanwhile, Chanute's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 64-58 win over Iola. That's two games straight that Chanute has won by exactly six points.
Fort Scott's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Chanute, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Fort Scott beat the Blue Comets 53-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Scott since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
