It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Centennial Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-31 win over the Miners. Centennial's win was all the more impressive since Sunrise Mountain was averaging only 17.91 points allowed on the season.
Centennial's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vic Plotnikov, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Brogan Church was in the mix too, providing Centennial with two touchdowns.
The win (which was Centennial's ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.1 points per game. As for Sunrise Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sunrise Mountain also has no future games currently scheduled.
