The Summit Academy Eagles can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They blew past Van Arsdale 58-33. The victory was nothing new for Summit Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.
It was another big night for Mariyha Boston, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyla Lawrence, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Summit Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Van Arsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Summit Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against KIPP NYC College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Van Arsdale, they will head out on the road to square off against Wingate at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Wingate is ranked 439th, while Van Arsdale is ranked 414th).
