 In other batting news,  Will Gardner was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Miller School of Albemarle faced Greenbrier Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Miller School of Albemarle skirted past Greenbrier Christian Academy  7-6. The  win was familiar territory for Miller School of Albemarle who now have four in a row.
  Dillon O'Connor looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Jackson Ingram was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Evan Hankins, who  scored a  run while going 4-for-4.
 Eastern Mennonite's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-4. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they pushed their record up to 17-5-1 with that  win, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Eastern Mennonite has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 4.5  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Miller School of Albemarle struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 2.7. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Eastern Mennonite might still be hurting after the  13-3 loss they got from Miller School of Albemarle  when the teams last played  back in March of 2023.
