After a string of four wins, Coahulla Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 65-52 to Northwest Whitfield.
Chase Ward put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cullen Marti, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Bremen, who are still winless after their 15th game. They took a hard 63-48 fall against Bowdon on Saturday. Bremen has struggled against Bowdon recently, as their contest on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Coahulla Creek's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-5. As for Bremen, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-15.
Coahulla Creek strolled past Bremen when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 59-40. Will Coahulla Creek repeat their success, or does Bremen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
