Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antelope). They never let the Maryvale Prep Matador get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory on Thursday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Isela Marquez was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Marquez was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Antelope got a massive performance out of Katie Williams, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. That's the most RBI Williams has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alaina Jaime, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Antelope kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Antelope's record is now 9-6. As for Maryvale Prep, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-10.
