The Zanesville Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bishop Rosecrans 56-23 on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Zanesville as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Zanesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jersey Draughn, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Isabella Norman, who scored 16 points.
Despite the loss, Bishop Rosecrans saw an underclassman step up: Abby Sagan scored nine points along with three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bishop Rosecrans struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Zanesville posted 12 assists.
Zanesville's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-16. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zanesville will take on the Blue Aces at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Granville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 265 points over their last four contests. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th.
