Mid-State 38 - Watchung recap November 19, 2013
North Hunterdon was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Mid-State 38 - Watchung. Earlier in the week, the Lions triumphed over J.P. Stevens 26-21.
Ridge added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Westfield, 35-28. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Red Devils.

Jordan Ditzel was a beast in the backfield as North Hunterdon beat the Hawks.
Ditzel provided a threat through the air and on the ground as John Mattes' team topped J.P. Stevens. Ditzel's favorite target this week was Michael Magaleski, who caught 3 passes for 58 yards.
Ditzel was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 271 yards on 48 carries as the Lions beat the Blue Devils.
6-foot-2 quarterback Chris Chugunov of Montgomery is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,688. He has also thrown 8 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Bell. The Ridge star has 39 catches for 651 yards.
The top two teams in Mid-State 38 - Watchung will face off this week when first place Ridge takes on second place Linden. Last week, Bill Tracy's team topped Westfield, while Linden beat Bayonne.
The Red Devils' offense has racked up 348 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Tigers have allowed only 122 on the year.
