The Glendale Cardinals will face off against the Greenway Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glendale has given up an average of 27 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Glendale is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Independence by a score of 42-39 on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Despite the defeat, Glendale had strong showings from Michael Anguiano, who threw for 331 yards and four TDs, and Santiago Navarrette, who picked up 204 receiving yards and a pair of scores. With that strong performance, Navarrette is now averaging an impressive 115 receiving yards per game.
Even if they lost, Glendale's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Luis Angel Ruiz, Angel Gutierrez Lopez, and Daniel Garcia, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Greenway, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Tempe by a score of 28-21 on Friday. The Demons have beaten the Buffaloes the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Buffaloes has come to flipping the script.
Glendale better keep an eye on Corey Guerrero. He was instrumental in Greenway's win, rushing for 122 yards. What's more, he's the contest marked his fourth straight with at least 113.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Greenway proved: they limited Tempe to a paltry 1.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Matthew Theall for the heroic effort on defense: he. Greenway's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.6 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.8 on average over their last five games.
Glendale dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Greenway, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Glendale might still be hurting after the 28-7 defeat they got from Greenway in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Cardinals were down 21-0.
