The Seven Lakes Spartans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 35-11 defeat at the hands of Paetow. Seven Lakes was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Seven Lakes' defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-7 Paetow and 3-6 Mayde Creek (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.1% over those games). As for Paetow, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-7.
Seven Lakes will square off against Katy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Katy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Seven Lakes likes a good challenge. As for Paetow, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Katy Taylor at 6:30 p.m. Katy Taylor is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
