Brother Rice faced St. Laurence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Crusaders were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over the Vikings. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Brady Cunningham was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Brother Rice got a  massive  performance out of  Jackson Natanek, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Aidan Nohava, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
The  victory made it two in a row for Brother Rice and  bumps their season record up to 28-2. As for St. Laurence, their loss  ended  a  13-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 26-4.
Brother Rice will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
