Foothills Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip.  In other batting news, Foothills Christian let  Gabby Wolford and  Grace Steele run wild. Wolford  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of her five plate appearances, while  Steele  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.  Kylie Mathistad was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
Francis Parker now  has a losing record of 1-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothills Christian will head out to  square off against Tri-City Christian  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Francis Parker, they are taking a road trip to  take on Santa Fe Christian  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Santa Fe Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so Francis Parker's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
