Munster found their leader in underclassman Gracyn Gilliard, who scored 23 points along with five steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Gilliard has scored at least 25% of Munster's points. Nina Garner was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Portage's loss came despite strong showings from Ava Kingery and Alante Wright. Kingery scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Wright scored 16 points. The match was Wright's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Munster is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Portage, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
