It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the La Cueva Bears had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 35-14 margin over the Storm. The result was nothing new for La Cueva, who have now won ten matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Cameron Dyer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 220 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 119 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Dyer really tore up the turf during one magnificent 88-yard run. Cheeto Lumbrera iii was in the mix too, providing La Cueva with two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Cleveland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Harris Mbueha. Despite the final result, he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown.
The win was the tenth in a row for La Cueva, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.3 points. As for Cleveland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.
La Cueva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cleveland also has no future games currently scheduled.
