The Delone Catholic Squires will venture away from home to take on the Bermudian Springs Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Delone Catholic's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
Delone Catholic came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of York County Tech by a score of 4-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Squires have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Mathew Mummert and Zach Staub did some serious damage despite the final result: Mummert got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Staub scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Staub a new career-high.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bermudian Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Fairfield with a sharp 20-9 win on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Lane Hubbard was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Keller, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.
Bermudian Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfield only posted an OBP of .433.
Delone Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bermudian Springs, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Delone Catholic has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bermudian Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Delone Catholic suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Bermudian Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Delone Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
