The team also got some help courtesy of Brentley Lening, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
On Stratton's side, Dawson Thompson put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Thompson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with an RBI.
Thompson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bex Seaman, who went 3-for-3 with a triple, a run, and a double.
Even though they lost, Stratton didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with ten strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eads only tossed five.
The victory (which was Eads' fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4. As for Stratton, their record is now 14-7.
