Scappoose have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Pendleton at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Scappoose and Pendleton will really light up the scoreboard.
Scappoose were able to grind out a solid win over Forest Grove two weeks ago, winning 44-32. Junior Jakobi Kessi was the offensive standout of the match for Scappoose, as he picked up 138 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs.
Meanwhile, Pendleton were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Putnam to the tune of 56-14. Followers of Pendleton probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-0. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Pendleton and Scappoose clash.
