Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Alamance Stallions vs. Orange Panthers

The Southeast Alamance Stallions will take on the Orange Panthers in a tournament on Friday. Southeast Alamance is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3 points per game this season.

Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Southeast Alamance in a 60-45 win over Eastern Alamance. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Eagles are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shaniya Paylor continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 17 points in addition to six assists and six boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Lopez, who posted 16 points.

Meanwhile, Orange played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 64-35 defeat at the hands of Western Alamance. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.

Orange has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Southeast Alamance, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
